Join us and we can make a difference together.About this RoleThis position is for a seasoned professional in Project Management, who works independently, supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets for projects, facilitates project tasks with various functional organizations, forecasts project revenues, tracks progress, identifies project problems, and recommends resolutions.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Managers are responsible for managing the installation of building automation equipment within various vertical markets, positively representing the company in all client and architect/engineer interactions.Work with end-users, sales staff, and prime contractors to clearly understand project scope and deliverables.The PM oversees and communicates project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation.Develops a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets. Conducts Work in Progress meetings.Understands and follows all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications.Conveys a sense of professionalism, fairness, and concern for customers, labor, and management.Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.Accurately forecast revenue each month by reviewing each project to estimate the value of work completed each month correctly.Execute all significant functions required for project management, including project initiation, project planning, project execution, project monitoring, and project close-out.Manage the Change Order process, ensuring scope creep does not occur.Assure that all projects will be managed to or exceed the booked project margin percentage.Assure that job safety is a priority in every project.Performs duties related to the overall planning and execution of customer projects, including post-sales support within the major project parameters of completing work on time, within budget, and to project specifications.Effectively leads moderate to sizeable complex customer projects and provides expertise in project management, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, and facilitation.Maintains control of project schedule, cost, quality, customer satisfaction, and safety. This individual will also support the sales team by assisting in bid development and notifying customers of concerns and trends.Responsible for managing project budgets to meet or exceed financial requirements, including effectively and efficiently using project resources.Managed relationships and communication with key project stakeholders during the project duration.Presents updates to management and customers on project progress, cycle, and expected results. Manages subcontractor and vendor relationships.Basic QualificationsHS Diploma or GED2+ years of experience in a Managerial position2+ years of experience in the building automation and controls industry1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office SuiteClean and valid driver’s licenseCapable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment in excess of 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.Preferred QualificationsOther qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university with a focus on building automation controls (3- or 4-year program)Experience in building automation, electrical installation, mechanical installation, construction, or related project management experience.Be able to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets and understand complex architectural, mechanical, and electrical building documents.Experience managing budgets for large construction projects.Experience managing project risk and earned valueAvailable for Local TravelExperience in dealing with a number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplinesA true team player who has the customer’s best interests first and foremostRSRCAR#LI-onsiteCarrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
