You’ll be the pulse of our hotel, ensuring that from the lobby to the penthouse, every detail resonates with the energy and sophistication that our guests love.The Director of Operations will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service, managing hotel departments, and maximizing profitability. This role requires strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience.CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESQualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.Oversee the daily operations of all hotel departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Security.Ensure operational efficiency and adherence to company standards and policies.Monitor and manage departmental budgets and expenses to maximize profitability.Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by providing consistent, high-quality service.Resolve guest issues and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.Implement and maintain standards for guest services and operational procedures.Recruit, train, and supervise department heads and operational staff.Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and development opportunities.Maintain cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards throughout the hotel.Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to achieve the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance.Monitor financial performance and take corrective action as needed to achieve budgeted goals.Prepare regular operational and financial reports for executive management.Analyze performance data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.SUPPORTING FUNCTIONSIn addition to the core focus and responsibilities, the candidate is expected to complete the following duties:Follow up on outstanding operational and guest (internal & external) issues.Monitor guest feedback and adjust accordingly.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Ability to satisfactorily communicate in verbal and written English with guests, leadership, and team members to their understanding.Prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow-up and execution.Have superb time management skills.Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel services/features and hours of operation.Additional language, mathematical, and reasoning abilities as outlined below.Ability to comply with physical demands as outlined below.Knowledge and understanding of Club Quarters culture and initiatives.Technologically sound with Microsoft Office applications.Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.Manual dexterity for typing.Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays.REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in hotel operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL, and REASONING ABILITIESCandidates must meet the following cognitive abilities:Ability to understand guests’ service needs and requests.Ability to acknowledge guests’ requests politely.Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written English (additional foreign languages are encouraged and preferred).Ability to apply logical thinking and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.Ability to address and solve problems involving guest and operational issues.Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
