Job Description

SUMMARY

Assist in supervising and directing financial activities of the hotel, safeguard assets, and prepare all financial reports in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Administer Finance Department.

CORE FOCUS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Review all ledger account reconciliations to include: bank statements, assets, liabilities, and credit cards.Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis.Perform General Cashier duties including daily deposits, petty cash, and cashier audits.Prepare monthly journal entries.Administer bank downloads and transfers.Prepare monthly EMON bill for Management Company.Coordinate and review monthly financial statements for accuracy. Monitor coding of cash receipts.Oversee monthly forecast preparation and assist with annual budget preparation.Direct and supervise performance of finance staff including maintenance of payroll records. Perform their duties in their absence.Direct the monthly closing process to be completed within established guidelinesReview tax returns to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.Prepare monthly accruals including utilities and telephone accruals.Monitor records of inventory to control accuracy of supply distribution. Act as liaison to all operating departments.Assist Director of Finance in internal daily audits of cash deposits and transfers.Ensure compliance with hotel and corporate policies and procedures.Supporting Functions:

Responsible for Crunch gym and Beneflex enrollments.Responsible for the sale and reorder of staff movie tickets.In absence of Director of Finance attend departmental meetings to keep appraised of operations and to provide outside input.QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.Ability to provide high quality communication and be technologically sound with Microsoft Windows applications.Prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow up and execution.Have superb time management skills, effective communication with customer and team.Ability to compute complex mathematical calculations.Knowledge and understanding of Atelier & Ace Culture & initiativesMaintain complete knowledge of all hotel services/features and hours of operation.Perform special projects as assigned by Director or Corporate Director of Finance.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a four year college is required. Computer programs knowledge such as Word, Excel, OPERA. Minimum of 12 months of management experience in a mid-size hotel is required.

Ability to understand guests' service needs and requests.Ability to acknowledge the guests' request with a polite answer.Must be able to satisfactorily communicate English with guests, management, and other team members to their understanding.Additional foreign language preferred.Ability to compute complex mathematical calculations and formulas.REASONING ABILITY

Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving guest and operational issues maintaining a positive attitude.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
