IT Applications Manager

We are seeking an IT Applications Manager who will:Coordinates business systems analysis and rapid solution development activities with Hearthside Food Solutions staff.Directs technical and functional teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices.Ensures scheduled milestones are completed to ensure project/program objectives are met, at or prior to established timelines.Demonstrates knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for selecting, managing and implementing applications and systems. Analysis of application development projects and development programs and platforms.Demonstrates superior analytical and organizational skills and an in-depth functional knowledge in a variety of business as well as technology areas.Analyzes business situations, understands business demands, creates or understands business requirements and translates into a variety of outputs – business case, service or solution technical requirements and specifications, test plans, solution or service outline, etc., depending on the area of responsibility.Reports directly to the Director of IT – Applications.Job Duties
may include, but are not limited to the following:At business requirements – provide application/platform options indicating derivative benefits vs. future technical debt. Activities meant to provide a final selection of choice to the department, the CAPEX or OPEX budget values, and estimates on headcount reduction or augmentation to manage and support the final choice.Acts as SME for cross-platform technology, and leads the decision-making processes for new solution selection and application consolidation decisions.Oversees and directs project assessment process, working collaboratively with architects and technical leads, as well as other Hearthside Food Solutions business personnel to create project proposals, solution technical requirements and specifications, solution business case, etc.Participates with team to provide ongoing maintenance of Non-SAP applications in the stack:Advanced management of SharePoint Online, MS SQL and Azure SQL environments.Advanced management of BPM/workflow automation tools such as Nintex, Sharegate, and Azure DevOps.Solution development using SharePoint technologies including SharePoint Designer, Nintex, BCS, web services, etc.Applies in-depth understanding of company or individual business unit’s business direction and of the set of desired outcomes to developing proposals and recommendations for project solutions.May facilitate business acceptance test planning and execution (where applicable).Demonstrates persistence necessary to ensure high levels of quality and effectiveness.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.5+ years of experience as an Application Resource Manager, defining solutions and delivering cross-functional projects and programs.8-10 years total professional experience.Previously led the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of the company and its departments.Currently participates in outside professional activities to maintain knowledge on developments in the field.Demonstrated ability to analyze and map business requirements to IT capabilities.Demonstrated ability to guide various business segments through application rationalization with focus on budget planning and headcount requirements for maintaining product selection of choices.In-depth understanding of modern application technology, including Web applications, SaaS implementation, and application integration.Demonstrated set of exceptional communication and presentation skills.Thorough understanding of technology, business processes and data management.Demonstrated set of exceptional project management skills.Preference given to candidates with expertise in both information technology and business administration in a manufacturing setting, including HRIS systems, Accounting / Finance systems and reporting methodologies.Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Downers Grove, IL, we are a world-class contract manufacturer producing wholesome baked goods, snacks, and packaged foods for many of the world’s leading food companies.
