We prioritize investing in our people, stores, and neighborhoods, and work closely with local suppliers to bring fresh, quality products at affordable prices to our customers.The Save Mart Companies is part of The Jim Pattison Group, a family-owned, diversified holding company operating primarily in the U.S. and Canada and headquartered in Vancouver, BC.We are currently recruiting for the position of:Assistant Store ManagerThe Assistant Store Manager (ASM) works in tandem with the Store Manager in directing and leading all aspects of the day-to-day store operations and is responsible for overall direction and leadership of store operations in collaboration with the Store Manager. The ASM is responsible for managing store conditions, product quality, and store inventory at all times.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Excellent leadership/team building skills; manages all front-end store operations, oversees and directs team members to meet or exceed expected service levels.Oversees, evaluates, diagnoses and resolves inventory issues with vendors and warehouses; audits product quality to ensure integrity throughout the store.Supervises, directs and coaches team members in the performance of their duties; completes performance reviews and provides actionable feedback.Manages the in-store training program and develops content to improve team member performance.Provides ongoing developmental opportunities for all team members, emphasizing advancement toward store management.Participates in all aspects of recruiting and hiring, including evaluating applicants and overseeing training.Promotes effective two-way communications with customers and all store team members.Drives customer focus throughout the store and assists with the execution of Customer Connection programs.Supports the achievement of storewide sales goals; tracks and analyzes sales and profitability data.Ensures compliance with Company sanitation, safety, security and other policies.Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):Excellent leadership/team building skills.Strong communication (written and verbal).Strong organization, administration and financial skills.Fundamental understanding of labor contracts and store operations.Education: Four-year college degree (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience).Experience: 3 years of related experience.Physical: Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, and use stairs, reach, pull and lift objects.Some of our competitive benefits offerings include generous benefits packages (Health, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, 401K), tuition reimbursement and scholarship opportunities, vacation and personal holidays, and in-store purchase discounts.Hiring pay range: $77,091.00 - $101,182.00The Save Mart Companies is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we welcome resumes from individuals who will contribute to our diverse workforce.
