The ASM is responsible for managing store conditions, overseeing product quality, and maintaining store inventory. The ASM assumes full control of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.The ASM leads the front-end team to meet or exceed expected service levels and is responsible for understanding the unique operations of a cost-directed retail environment to achieve maximum sales and gross profits.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Manage store operations with emphasis on front-end service; oversee cash management.Develop and implement Team Member work shift schedules.Oversee, evaluate, diagnose, and resolve inventory issues.Assign, direct, supervise, and coach Team Members; complete performance reviews.Manage the in-store training program and provide ongoing developmental opportunities.Participate in recruiting and hiring processes.Promote effective communication with customers and store team members.Drive customer focus and lead the execution of customer service initiatives.Support the achievement of store-wide sales goals.Direct team member activities in product recalls and store maintenance.Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and security policies.Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):Excellent leadership/team building skills.Strong communication (written and verbal).Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Proven abilities in decision making and conflict resolution.Strong organizational and financial skills.Basic computer skills.Knowledge of store operations and applicable laws.Education:
High School Diploma (or G.E.D. equivalent); some college preferred.Experience:
Minimum of three years of retail management experience preferred.Other:
Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours.Physical:
Requires frequent physical movements and lifting up to 40 lbs.Customer Focus ,
