Alsym Energy is looking for a self-driven and motivated procurement professional. This position will be responsible for the purchase of capital equipment and raw materials to support the development and manufacturing of Alsym battery products. This includes securing battery raw materials and actively leading the development of commodity strategy, sourcing/negotiations, budget execution, and interface with suppliers or internal stakeholders. This position will be responsible for shaping Alsym’s Supply Chain organization and setting up for success in both prototyping and planning for high volume manufacturing.Key Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field requiredA minimum of 5 years relevant experienceBackground in battery, chemical or semiconductor manufacturing industry is preferredOpen-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem-solveAbility to work independently on multiple tasks with various stakeholders and ability to grow into a procurement leadership positionExperience procuring both capital equipment and raw materials highly desirableExperience working in a fast-paced and evolving environmentExperience in contract drafting, redlining, and working cross-functionally with legalHighly proficient oral and written communication skillsAdept at engaging and presenting to Senior Executives, tailoring to the audienceAbility to manage the cost model of the product and its subcomponentsExperience managing and negotiating commercial issues with suppliersResponsibilities:Develop and execute purchasing strategies based on business, market, and technology trends and establish strong and competitive supply baseResponsible for purchasing materials, supplies, machinery, tooling and/or servicesDevelop and manage supplier relationships for R&D and ManufacturingResponsible for driving development of the commodity strategy, supplier sourcing/negotiations, budget execution for high volume manufacturingDevelop protection of supply and contingency plans to de-risk supply issuesDrive supply forecasts with assistance of the product teamCompensation, Benefits, and Perks:We are committed to providing equitable compensation and a healthy working environment for our employees with a benefits package that provides the support that you need.
