Must be process oriented and detailed.BASIC FUNCTIONS|The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing food products and ingredients for our industrial operations. This role requires a keen understanding of market trends, supplier management, and cost-effective purchasing strategies to ensure the highest quality standards while maximizing profitability. The Supply Chain Manager will serve as well as be an exemplary figure in the follow through of all Company Core Values, policies, and procedures primarily, GMP | Food Safety guidelines.BENEFITS |PTO: 2 Weeks Vacation401 K: Up to 5% matchHealth/Dental /Vision: BCBS MassLife/AD&D InsuranceESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMust be adept at pricing negotiations, vendor relationships and have a thorough understanding of contracts and terms.Must be skilled at analyzing market conditions and able to provide thoughtful analysis on market trends and make strategic decisions on primary and secondary sourcing options.Oversees daily responsibilities to ensure that the manufacturing facility has all the materials required to support their published plan and works to reconcile expected inventory and yields to actuals.Oversees daily purchases of ingredients, packaging, operating supplies, and services.Sources new ingredients and materials and manages any specification changes.Negotiates pricing and contracts and manages vendor performance.Develops long range sourcing plans to ensure supply of critical ingredients and materials.Produces detailed, polished, professional communications both to vendors and internally to peers.Manage and maintain vendor contracts and compliance to contract terms.Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock to meet production demands without overstocking.Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activity to make informed purchasing decisions.Collaborate with R&D, production, finance, and marketing teams to align purchasing strategies with overall business objectives.MANAGEMENT SCOPEManagement ResponsibilitySUCCESSFUL FACTORS|Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Broad understanding of all purchasing functions.Broad understanding of ingredients and management of perishables.Broad understanding of manufacturing capabilities and constraints.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of senior managers and peers.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or another related field.Equivalent work experience accepted.Must be very skilled in Microsoft Excel or equivalent applications.Minimum Experience Required: 10 Years in food manufacturing procurement, retail, or foodservice company.Advanced excel skills required; must understand formula construction, pivot tables, data types.Knowledge of ERP/MRP packages with a high degree of comfort handling data.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Strong negotiation and analytical skills.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, verbal, or written form.Able to deal with multiple variables and imperfect data sources.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
