The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing buildings and will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of structural engineering solutions for a variety of projects. This position requires a thorough understanding of structural analysis, design principles, and building codes.Responsibilities
Perform engineering calculations with the aid of computer software, spreadsheets, and hand calculations.Create structural design plans and details in AutoCAD and Revit.Coach and mentor more junior staff.Perform site visits, make observations of ongoing construction progress, and survey the structural components of existing buildings.Coordinate with architects, owners, and other engineering disciplines.Review shop drawings and respond to RFI's.Perform QA/QC related tasks.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited University.PE required.10+ years of professional structural engineering experience required.AutoCAD proficiency required.Proficient in Revit required.Possess an intermediate to advanced understanding of structural design software such as RISA, RAM, TEKLA, TEDDS, SAFE, PROFIS, etc. with a willingness to learn and adapt to new software.Understanding of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design principles.Knowledge of current building and material design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE7, AISC360, ACI318, ACI 530 or NDS.Strong Microsoft Office skills.Able to work independently and collaboratively on a team.Strong communication skills.Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.What We Offer
