Your work is the link between perceived social needs and commercial applications. You’ll provide expertise in evaluating new technologies, performing risk assessments, and improving the design of maritime systems. In this role, you’ll contribute to the direction of mission-critical solutions by evaluating, improving, and designing leading-edge naval technology. You’ll design products and machinery and implement improved ways to extract, process, and use raw materials such as petroleum and natural gas. You’ll develop new materials that both improve the performance of products and take advantage of advances in technology. You’ll analyze the impact of the products you develop or the systems you design on the environment and on the people using them. The world can’t wait.You Have:10+ years of experience in Navy shipbuilding and defense systemsAbility to analyze designs through review of design artifactsAbility to perform quantitative analysesAbility to work on a multi-disciplinary team consisting of systems engineers, electrical and electronics engineers, acquisition professionals, and logistics and sustainment professionals to achieve program outcomesBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, such as Marine EngineeringTop Secret clearanceNice If You Have:15+ years of experience in Navy shipbuilding and defense systemsKnowledge of DoD or DoN procedures and policies, including the DoD 5000 processKnowledge of Navy acquisition processesKnowledge of mechanical design standards and practices for Naval ships and systemsPossession of excellent written and verbal technical communication skillsMaster’s degree in a technical discipline, such as Marine EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) CertificationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
