Berkeley Biologics, founded in 2023, manufactures high-quality, cost-effective, clinically relevant human cell/tissue products. The company offers a broad variety of allografts for bone, wound care and soft tissue applications. Berkeley Biologics is a licensed Tissue Bank that is accredited by the AATB.

The Senior Manager of Supply Chain will lead the strategic planning and execution of supply chain activities for a tissue bank manufacturer, focusing on sourcing, logistics, inventory management, and warehouse operations to support uninterrupted tissue bank operations. They ensure the efficient flow of materials and products, aligning supply chain processes with organizational goals for timely, cost-effective delivery. This role is onsite in our Richmond, CA office and reports to the VP Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion a culture of continuous improvement, belonging and employee development.

Oversee all supply chain activities, including procurement, vendor management, logistics, inventory control, warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving, specifically tailored to tissue bank requirements.

Manage warehouse operations to ensure effective organization, storage, and handling of materials, maintaining high standards for safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Supervise shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation, timely dispatch, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Establish and maintain partnerships with critical suppliers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, including managing lead times and supply disruptions, especially for high-demand materials.

Implement inventory management practices aligned with tissue processing needs, reducing waste and optimizing stock levels.

Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and finance to forecast material requirements and budget accordingly.

Lead cross-functional projects to streamline supply chain and warehouse operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve responsiveness, reliability, and scalability of supply chain and warehouse processes.

Establish KPIs for supply chain activities, including warehouse and shipping/receiving functions, and report on performance to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

8+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in tissue banking, biologics, or related industries.

Proven experience with regulatory compliance, particularly AATB and FDA guidelines for tissue banks.

Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement supply chain and warehouse strategies.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, vendor management, and logistical skills.

The base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000.
