HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:This role reports into a VP of Merchandising, has 1-2 direct reports (if applicable), and is based in our Buckhead office in our hybrid work environment.

40%: SBU Strategy:Lead business "take-aways" and "deep dives"; generate new strategies, reinforce existing ones, drive change for the fastest-growing business segmentWeekly In-Season business management: utilize reporting tools (Tableau, Excel) to run and analyze selling reports; create and present selling hindsights regularly, to influence future line structuresLead cross-functional team: support creative decisions for assortment with Design, Art and PDC and support financial planning deliverables with Retail Planning and OperationsPartner with Global Sales team to drive growth for Wholesale ChannelDevelop strong understanding of the marketplace and key competitors; identify trends and white space opportunities for growth20%: Marketing, Store Visual & Site Direction:Support development of unique Little Planet Marketing strategies to ensure alignment across email, SMS, Site Copy, Social campaigns, etc.Partner with Site Merchandising team to drive brand strategy for the website and app including landing page structure and imageryMeet with Visual Merchandising team to convey seasonal assortment strategies for a variety of store formats15%: Costing, Pricing, Margin Management:Manage margin and deliver revenue goals based on financial plans across Retail and WholesaleOwn product margin, costing decisions and category roll-ups15%: System Management/Style Set Ups/Assortment attributions and rankings:Support team with systemic deliverables; ensuring accuracy of information for release to downstream toolsUse understanding of current trends and brand strategies to guide product ranking and mapping10%: Team Development:Maintain strong cross functional relationshipsSupport seasonal calendar development, meet deadlines and milestone meeting needsWE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:Must have:Bachelor’s Degree required4-7 Years of Experience in retail buying or merchandising position; experience developing a line structure is criticalPreferred skills and experience:Ability to understand and translate trend for our brandAbility to develop product and assess creativeStrong knowledge of retail metrics to effectively analyze results across channels and marketsExperience working with design, sourcing, product development, tech design, and other cross-functional partnersWell-developed presentation skills needed to present to senior level executives and key accountsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteOUR TEAM MEMBERS:Lead Courageously: Have a strong sense of personal values that align with our Company valuesCollaborates Broadly: Build cooperation, trust, and thrive in a consensus driven environmentCustomer Focus: Proactively seek opportunities to leverage data and fact-based insights to serve customers and/or internal clientsDrive Growth: Set aggressive goals and implement plans preciselyCultivates Innovation: Respectfully challenge the "we’ve always done it this way" mentality and explore new ways to achieve desired outcomesMAKE A CAREER AT CARTER’S:Career Development: Success starts from within, and we have several paths from which you can choose to enhance your career evolution.
