Take a look at this opportunity with our IT team, which is seeking a passionate individual to fill the role of our Senior Datawarehouse Engineer.As a Senior Datawarehouse Engineer, you will research, develop, and implement data analysis projects including but not limited to data reporting, data visualizations, and ad-hoc research projects. You will work closely with IT teams on planning, design, installation, configuration, automation, and maintenance of said systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that our data systems are engineered for greater accuracy, efficiency, flexibility, and reuse. You will work with all the different business functions to ensure that their future data needs are met with our current and future designs.Who Is Prolacta Bioscience?We give babies a brighter future by unlocking the biological power of human milk. Based in Southern California, we employ more than 300 people globally, many of whom have dedicated their lives to neonatal care.How you will contributeWorking with IT leadership to define and drive the organization’s data warehousing strategy and visionDesigning, implementing, and managing data models to support Data Warehouse and Data Mart layersDesigning, implementing, and managing ETL processes at the organizational levelDesigning and implementing data and reporting systems that allow a greater degree of ‘Self Service’ report creationAnalyzing and verifying efficiency, internal consistency, completeness, and accuracy of data systems and making required adjustmentsOther duties and responsibilitiesAnalyze and interpret data trendsDefine training strategyProvide leadership to the team for the assigned projects, applications, and servicesDesign organization-wide “views” and custom reportsWork on multiple projects as neededWork with end users to validate requirements; capture relevant data and reporting requirementsDevelop enterprise reports in conjunction with developers, contractors, and business stakeholdersPrepare documentation including designs, technical requirements, test scripts, test results, data migration plans, implementation plans, and proceduresPrototype designs and user requirements using various tools such as VisioRecommend establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of informationExplore, recommend, and implement BI toolsParticipate in and conduct team reviews throughout the life cycle of the projectStrongly adhere to Prolacta’s structured SDLC (software development life cycle) and validation processesManage the application maintenance ticket queue; troubleshoot performance issues and design effective solutionsEffectively work with the IT team by improving processes, developing standards, and improving project documentation and proceduresEffectively work with a Scrum or Kanban team as designatedWhat you bring to the roleBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Economics, or related fieldEight or more years of experience developing Enterprise scale Data Warehouse and Data MartsEight or more years of experience with SQL Server including stored procedures, triggers, and scriptsExperience with SQL Server 2008/2014/2016 requiredProficient in Self Service BIProficient in Data Modeling (star, snowflake schemas)Experience in creating and interpreting ER diagramsProficient in ETL using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and stored proceduresProficient in BI reporting software such as Power BI Service/Desktop, Qlik, TableauExperience with Microsoft Azure, SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, and Power BIExperience in MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQLExperience in project management principlesExperience in developing machine learning models using R/PythonExperience in Waterfall and Agile SDLCExperience in FDA regulated, Biologic or Health Care companies desiredData Vault Warehouse Design experience is desiredHow Prolacta benefits youTo drive the personal growth and business impact of our employees, we’re committed to developing a supportive and enriching culture for everyone.
