Take a look at this opportunity with our IT team, which is seeking a passionate individual, to fill the role of our Senior Datawarehouse Engineer.As a Senior Datawarehouse Engineer, you will research, develop and implement data analysis projects including but not limited to data reporting, data visualizations, and ad-hoc research projects. You will work closely with IT teams on planning, design, installation, configuration, automation and maintenance of said systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that our data systems are engineered for greater accuracy, efficiency, flexibility and reuse. Based in Southern California, we employ more than 300 people globally, many of whom have dedicated their lives to neonatal care.For more information, please visit www.prolacta.comHow you will contributeThis role will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our organization and develop your professional skills by...Working with IT leadership to define and drive the organization's data warehousing strategy and visionDesigning, implementing and managing data models to support Data Warehouse and Data Mart layersDesigning, implementing and managing ETL processes at the organizational levelDesigning and implementing data and reporting systems that allow a greater degree of 'Self Service' report creationAnalyzing and verifying efficiency, internal consistency, completeness and accuracy of data systems and making required adjustments
Other duties and responsibilitiesAnalyze and interpret data trendsDefines training strategyProvide leadership to the team for the assigned projects, applications, and servicesDesigns organization wide "views" and custom reportsResponsible for design directionWork on multiple projects as neededWorks with end users to validate requirements; captures relevant data and reporting requirementsDevelops enterprise reports in conjunction with developers, contractors, and business stakeholdersPrepares documentation including designs, technical requirements, test scripts, test results, data migration plans, implementation plans and proceduresPrototypes designs and user requirements using various tools such as VisioRecommends establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information.Explores, recommends and implements BI toolsParticipates in and conducts team reviews throughout the life cycle of the projectStrongly adheres to Prolacta's structured SDLC (software development life cycle) and validation processesManages the application maintenance ticket queue; troubleshoots performance issues and designs effective solutionsEffectively works with the IT team by improving processes, developing standards, and improving project documentation and proceduresEffectively works with a Scrum or Kanban team as designated
What you bring to the roleBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Economics or related fieldEight or more years of experience required developing Enterprise scale Data Warehouse and Data MartsEight or more years of experience with SQL Server including stored procedures, triggers and scriptsExperience with SQL Server 2008/2014/2016 requiredProficient in Self Service BIProficient in Data Modeling (star, snowflake schemas)Experience in creating and interpreting ER diagramsProficient in ETL using Microsoft Sql Server Integration Services (SSIS) and stored procedures.Proficient in BI reporting software such as Power BI Service/Desktop, Qlik, TableauProficient in SQL Server 2008/2014/2016Experience with Microsoft Azure, SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory and Power BIExperience in MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQLExperience in project management principlesExperience in developing machine learning models using R/PythonExperience in Waterfall and Agile SDLCExperience in FDA regulated, Biologic or Health Care companies desiredData Vault Warehouse Design experience is desired
