We are seeking a highly motivated
Project Engineer
to help steer the future of our organization. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing engineering projects from conception to completion. This role involves collaboration with various teams, managing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed according to specifications and within the established timelines.Essential Job Functions:
Partner with USG personnel to develop future scopes of work and support program technical goals and timeline, including developing scopes of work for suppliers.Support creation of project proposal packages, including cost estimates, schedules, and integrated master plans, ensuring alignment with established financial goals.Coordinate activities between teams to support parallel activities on multiple projects, interfacing with production teams, engineers, and designers to prioritize and support improvements.Utilize a gated review process to design, procure, install, and test product, equipment, and processes in a high-speed, high-precision manufacturing environment.Provide informal status updates, formal written reports, and lead recurring team meetings with multiple internal and external stakeholders, interfacing with customers, peers, suppliers, contractors, and leaders at multiple organizational levels.Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering.3 years recent relevant experience.Exceptional analytical, organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills.Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), presentation, and facilitation skills.Ability to travel approximately 10%.Must possess a valid US Driver's License.Location-Specific Requirements:
This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. The US Government does not allow non-US citizens on-site at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant.
