Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Therapy. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Qualified Supervisor (as designated by Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling) is preferred.At least 3 years of experience as a clinician. Experience with TF-CBT modality preferred.At least 3 years’ experience in leading evidence-based, trauma-focused prevention and intervention programming.At least 3 years of supervisory experience.At least 2 years of supervising therapists preferred.Demonstrated experience with successfully managing grant-funded programs.Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance required.Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural competence, and ability to work effectively with interns and volunteers.Ability to maintain professional working relationships with other team members (including supervisor, subordinates, and other program managers), clients, community providers, and corporate partners.Working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics.Ability to work using analytical thinking to make critical decisions.Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work independently and as a team member.Note:This position requires independent travel between workstation and other sites. Consequently, the incumbent must maintain a valid Driver’s License and insurance coverage on personal vehicle at all times during employment.Performing the duties of this position requires the ability to walk, sit, stand, reach, talk, hear, and lift presentation materials, including equipment.Incumbent must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening.Position Summary
The Program Manager serves as Gang Alternative, Inc.’s subject matter expert on mental health, therapeutic intervention, and effective parenting.Gang Alternative, Inc.’s Circle of Strength Program provides children with evidence-based Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and parents/caregivers with Nurturing Parenting (NP). The program is designed to strengthen families by giving parents and children the resources and skills necessary to cope with the emotional, social, and psychological impacts of traumatic life experiences. It uses TF-CBT to teach families ways to address maladaptive behavior patterns and resolve the distress resulting from traumatic events. It uses NP to provide in-home and community-based services to nurture parenting skills, promote maternal and child health, and support child development to establish healthy family relationships.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day management of the program including (i) overseeing all contracts and performance documentation; (ii) supervising and coordinating program staff; (iii) ensuring that program objectives and funder outcomes are met; and (iv) ensuring that the program is implemented with performance excellence and contract compliance.Supervise Therapists and Family Success Coaches, which includes client assignments, monitoring and observations of therapy sessions, and approval of case notes.Lead outreach to bring programming to communities throughout Miami-Dade County. This includes participating in community events on a regular basis.Train staff in administering evidence-based assessments.Lead intake and assessment processes.Lead weekly group staffing of clients.Coordinate monthly parent engagement workshops and family engagement events.Assess and facilitate therapeutic intervention needs of the organization’s clients.Coordinate public education campaigns and events on mental health, effective parenting, and family engagement strategies.Coordinate and manage partnerships for effective leveraging of resources and social service linkages.Coordinate and facilitate internal and external program meetings.Assist in marketing the program within and outside the organization.Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field.Actively participate in all activities of Gang Alternative, Inc.All other duties as assigned.
