The experience will not be limited to technology - this is also an opportunity to get a good understanding of the operation of a global organization, how global teams interact, how projects are developed, implemented and how strategies are executed.This role will have you joining our Infrastructure Development & Automation team where you will be working on our in-house automation platforms, advanced infrastructure monitoring tooling, and other internal development projects within the Infrastructure/Operations vertical. You will be exposed to all layers of these tools as well as learning the enterprise Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes at ICE. In time you will help support other teams' use of these tools and develop new features or improve existing ones.ResponsibilitiesAttend training sessions and complete an internal Junior Developer programWrite and maintain software that interacts with various systems, network devices, tools, databases, and user inputGather requirements from relevant business ownersKeep project stakeholders updated on progressHelp ensure orderly software releases by following team's scrum process and adhering to ICE's SDLC release management policiesCreate and maintain documentation of system components and their operationWrite unit and integration tests that ensure system reliabilityTake ownership of assigned projectsDeliver a team-wide presentation on a mutually agreed-upon research topicKnowledge and ExperienceComputer Science (or related field) degree in-progress, or ability to demonstrate equivalent experienceGood written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with others on both an ad hoc and project team basis, across organizational boundariesBasic software development skillsSelf-organizing and ability to pick up next task independentlyWillingness to perform on-the-job trainingPreferredAbility to work with JSON, XML, YAML, and other data interchange formatsFamiliarity with code testingExposure to database vernacular and SQLExposure to Linux servers and navigating within the shell environmentScheduleThis role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
