To support this challenge, Syngenta's Technical Services team is currently seeking a Technical Support Manager in Greensboro, NC.The Technical Support Manager will manage the development and implementation of the Product Support Strategy for the US Crop Protection (CP) business and some elements of the Professional Solutions (PS) and Seeds businesses. The manager will lead a strong technical team of subject matter experts in herbicide, fungicide, insecticide, seed care and regulatory product support to address external and internal customer inquiries across the CP/PS product portfolio. This will be accomplished via multiple communication channels and across all product categories while ensuring a positive customer experience.In this role, you will provide management and leadership of resources, processes, and tools for the continuous improvement of the end-user experience and achievement of operational excellence. You will demonstrate a commitment to excellence through effective and timely employee coaching and development by enhancing employee engagement, performance, knowledge, and skills. Your success will be measured by the Technical Support team's ability to provide high quality customer service, timely issue resolution, optimal use of resources and contact efficiency and effectiveness.Additionally, you will be part of the Agronomy and Technical Services Leadership teams. As part of these teams, you will be responsible for setting direction and developing robust agronomic initiatives that are aligned with Syngenta's short-, mid- and longer-term business strategy.AccountabilitiesActively manage the technical team responsible for effective support and communication of technical product information to customers, including associated knowledge management platforms, and customer engagement systemsOversee responses to customer inquiries, issues related to product quality, product performance, and other elements related to managing product service expectationsDevelop and implement the Technical Product Support Strategy and roadmap that will deliver scalable solutions across people, processes and technologies that are aligned with the current and future needs of Product Marketing, Agronomy and the broader organizationIdentify training needs related to product information, knowledge management and customer engagement platforms within the team, and throughout the broader organizationMaintain and contribute to the improvement of the technical support team and resources by ensuring system performance; identifying and resolving problems; preparing and implementing action plans and ensuring regular system audits for follow-up analysis and process improvementManage the processes, communications and budgets related to product quality, crop response analysis, resistance pest testing and off target movement reporting for identified productsContribute to the development and administration of annual department and related budgets to achieve business goals and strategic plansQualificationsMasters or PhD in an Agricultural Science, or related discipline, with emphasis on chemistry, weed science, plant pathology and/or entomologyAt least 10 years of Crop Protection expertise and extensive field experienceMust be familiar with the product registration requirements and processes at a federal and state levelPreferred RequirementsSuperior technical knowledge of crop protection products across the Syngenta portfolio including an understanding of product lifecycle management stages and support requirementsFamiliarity with EPA regulations, processes and stewardship requirementsWhat We Offer:A culture that celebrates diversity & inclusion, promotes professional development, and strives for a work-life balance that supports the team members.
