As a Geotechnical Engineer at RK&K you will have the opportunity to work across disciplines to prepare plans and reports related to geotechnical projects for a variety of clients in the transportation and municipal sectors; you will conduct and supervise field investigations; develop design computations; and prepare geotechnical recommendations, contract plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
Essential FunctionAssist in the development of the geotechnical portion of proposals and subsurface exploration programs.Perform geotechnical analysis using approved software.Preparation of bridge, roadway, retaining wall foundation, and structure recommendations.Preparation of Geotechnical Sheets.Collaborate on innovative design concepts related to Geotechnical Engineering.
Required Skills and ExperiencePassion for client service and engineering.BS in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.6-10+ years of Geotechnical Design experience, TDOT experience preferred.Professional Engineer License is required.Significant understanding of the following: gINT, LPile, APile, MSEW, FB-Pier, Rocscience products, and GRLWEAP.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of Microstation.
Preferred Skills and ExperienceMS or advanced degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
