Yes - 1-20%JOB SUMMARYThe Director of Medical Strategy - VP, assumes responsibility for working with medical directors providing oversight and medical leadership. The VP is also responsible for leading new business pitches, developing medical offerings for the department, and is expected to be the day-to-day medical director for multiple accounts. The VP may also have a number of direct reports and, as such, expertise in mentoring and delegating tasks is critical.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSKnowledge/Expertise:

Demonstrate depth of understanding for multiple products and disease states; demonstrate the ability to distill the medical and scientific information into strategic insights and actionable ideas for the brand; have deep understanding of our capabilities as well as those of our competitors.Strategic Skills/Tools:

Demonstrate understanding of the strategic imperatives for all brands; combine in-depth scientific understanding of the product and disease state with market awareness to provide high-level communication planning for clients; elevate, expand, and refine strategic offerings of the medical strategy department.Client Relationships:

Lead medically related client interactions across multiple pieces of business.Business Development:

Lead medical research and development efforts for new business pitches.JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES- Critically review content developed by others in the agency, including copywriters, medical directors, art directors, brand strategists, and account leads.- Proactively and proficiently provide strategic medical recommendations based on the changing market to enhance brand communications.- Keep abreast of new and changing trends in our industry to ensure we provide the most 'up-to-date' recommendations for our brands.- Interact with and, if necessary, lead discussions with internal teams, clients, and HCPs to help meet strategic objectives of the brand.- Ensure the 'medical hook' of the brand is pulled through when new content is created.- Proactively identify and execute on medical opportunities that contribute to strategic and tactical development.- Ensure teams are optimizing the use of data to tell a viable, differentiating story.- Facilitate and participate in proprietary workshops.- Participate in and contribute to senior leader client meetings and workshops with your account and strategic planning partners.- Help to identify and recommend new initiatives that support client communication needs.- Develop medical insights and craft the immersion section of a pitch presentation in collaboration with account and strategic planning partners.- Help drive the strategic recommendations for the pitch.EDUCATIONDEGREE/DIPLOMA:

$175,000 - $220,000 annuallyThe salary range for this position is noted within this job posting.
