EXPANDED LEARNING PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR @ Lawton:
Hiring for both Kindergarten & 4th/5th GradeWe are currently seeking committed and passionate Instructors to lead Academic, Enrichment and Recreation activities for the Expanded Learning Program. Our ideal Program Instructor will have a strong dedication to youth development, a sense of creativity and enthusiasm and be able to commit to working the entire school year.Benefits:Pay rate: $23 - $25 per hour DOE16 paid BACR holidaysFlexible hours negotiated upon hiring (20 hours per week)Stepping stone into career in education, or running your own after school programEmployee assistance program, dental, vision, wellness program, life insurance, flexible spending account, 403(b), commuter benefits (based on total weekly hours)Medical insurance (if working 30+ hours a week)Requirements:Must have an AA degree or higher, 48+ college credits OR pass the SFUSD Instructional Aide Exam (High School Diploma or GED required)Ability to work Monday – Friday until 6:00 pm for the duration of the school year (hours will be determined at time of offer, between 20 – 30 hours per week until 6:00pm)Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with students, parents, community partners, and BACR staff.Must pass a criminal background check and have TB ClearanceExperience working with Kindergarten or Elementary school youth preferredResponsibilities:Ability to manage classroom, plan, and facilitate activities for up to 20 studentsCreate, plan, execute lesson plans for student enrichmentMust be able to work independently or as part of a teamActively supervise and ensure student safety at all timesModel positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors and languageAbout Us:Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) promotes the healthy development of individuals, families and communities through direct services, volunteerism, and partnerships in the San Francisco Bay Area.BACR is an equal opportunity employer.
