In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure and maintain all networking and server hardware! We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technological changes, so we can make informed purchase decisions. The IT (Information Technology) department is always looking for ways to strike the best balance between technology, performance, and cost.Vantage Technology & Systems also participates in designing each of our new data center building's networking infrastructure, including but not limited to diverse pathways connecting to carriers, meet-me room hosting (rack, cabs, ladders, cross-connect panels...), wireless AP (Access Points) coverage, etc. If you like getting into the details and helping to design, build and maintain IT infrastructure in a modern data center, then come work at Vantage!Position OverviewThe ServiceNow Application Engineer will play a key role in developing, maintaining and maturing the ServiceNow platform. In addition, you will contribute to the technical design, configuration and architectural definition. You will interact with key business units to discover, define, develop, and maintain workflows/solutions or capabilities. You will promote continuous improvement processes and support the day-to-day ServiceNow platform.The ideal candidate will have developer experience on Customer Service Management (CSM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Field Service Management (FSM), Technology Provider Service Management (TPSM), & Business Continuity Management (BCM).This position will be based on-site at our office in Denver, CO, in alignment with our flexible work policy (3 days on-site required, 2 days flexible).Essential Job FunctionsClosely partner with the ServiceNow leadership team to help develop, maintain and enhance our current ServiceNow system.Provide sophisticated knowledge of systems to ensure functionality meets customer requirements and serve as a resource for complex issues and solutions.Partner with internal users to identify business needs, develop system requirements, translate requirements into technical specifications, and develop the solution.Document new solutions and prepare the organization for the implementation.Participate during the ServiceNow upgrades.Work directly with other ServiceNow Developers to provide effective and quantitative enhancements and remediations.Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), fix failures, conduct quality assurance checks, debug and solve issues, and help determine solutions.Present release notes as items move to production for team awareness.Lead meetings, facilitate training, and assist in communicating and implementing new processes and solutions.Collect user feedback regarding system performance and work with the ServiceNow team to prioritize configuration requests.Interpret information, ideas and instructions and communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing.Ensure business solutions meet strategic goals through project management and analyzing functional and systems requirements and driving productivity.Perform system data audits and business analysis to identify Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators to drive/support strategic business decisions.Prepare reports and dashboards for systems monitoring and to determine gaps and opportunities for improvement.Additional duties as assigned by Management.Job Requirements5+ years of direct experience developing ServiceNow solutions and supporting the day-to-day operation.3+ years of direct experience integrating ServiceNow with other solutions using REST APIs and Integration Hub.3+ years of direct experience working with the Identification and Reconciliation process.3+ years of direct experience coding in JavaScript, HTML, XML and some Ajax.3+ years of experience with relational databases.Proven understanding of systems and working with platforms such as Workday, Yardi, Procore, Primavera, etc.Superb verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak to various partners with different technical skill levels and the ability to define requirements for developers.Ability to learn and exhibit developer-level understanding and an understanding of Agile methodology; ability to define and document system requirements and workflows for developers.Functional analyst who can lead meetings with both technical staff and user groups.Solid project management and interpersonal skills; experience participating in technology and software projects is preferred.Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to empathize with users to evaluate the user journey and determine opportunities for improvement.Ability to analyze processes within a multi-functional organization; effective in implementing new and improved processes.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment with quick deadlines and shifting priorities.Possesses strong organization skills with the ability to handle various tasks.ServiceNow Credential on: CMDB, FSM, ITSM/CSM, SPM are a plus.Physical Demands and Special RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
