Job Summary:Provide varied administrative support, including travel, scheduling, and procurement to the Associate Vice President for Research, Assistant Vice President for Research, and the research activities under the Vice President for Research and Innovation. Requires moderate exercise of independent judgment, initiative, and ability to make decisions relative to office operations.Essential Duties:Oversee the general reception area, greet, and direct visitors, and answer phones.Coordinate all travel arrangements and travel authorizations.Process expense reports for payments and reimbursements; prepare vouchers, process invoices, purchase orders, and non-travel expense reimbursements.Assist with calendars/scheduling, and scheduling of events, meetings, or use of facilities.Responsible for keeping inventory of all office supplies and placing orders for replenishment if needed.Assist with meeting and event planning, monitoring, set up, and tear down, payment processing.Process service requests; mailing and shipping.Coordinate, track and file all VPRI faculty awards in SharePoint. (IRPs, REPs)Support the VPRI accounting office as needed.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with one (1) year upper level secretarial experience or high school with five (5) years of increasingly responsible administrative, secretarial and clerical experience.One (1) year of supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with university academic programs or providing administrative leadership.Previous experience working in an educational setting.Special Instructions:Applicants must include in their online resume the following information: 1) Employment history: name of company, period employed (from month/year to month/year), job title, summary of job duties and 2) Education: school name, degree type, and major.EEO Statement:It is the policy of The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA or The University) to provide an educational and working environment that provides equal opportunity to all members of the University community.
