Quartz, a provider-sponsored health plan, has an opening within our Data Warehouse Team for a Data Analyst - Quality Assurance. The Data Analyst - Quality Assurance will partner with the business to evaluate data needs and translate them into deliverables for internal users and analytics applications as well as external entities including third-party data feeds, regulatory, and governmental data needs. This position is responsible for collecting requirements, turning them into technical specifications, monitoring the quality of deliverables, and governing the overall quality of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and the processes that feed it.This Data Analyst - Quality Assurance position will utilize the following skills on a regular basis:Create and build SQL queries for quality testing within the data warehouseCreate Source-to-Target (STT) documentsUtilize SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methods when working on projectsWork in new cloud-based data architecture leveraging Snowflake and Azure environmentOpportunity to train and bring up to speed on technologies including languages like PythonBenefits:Starting salary based upon skills and experience: $77,200 - $90,000 plus total rewards packageResponsibilities

Collaborate with business users, external vendors, and/or government entities to obtain data requirements for new analytics applications and data feeds or enhancement of existing products.Uncover appropriate sources of data for proposed applications or data warehousing extension profiling data to ensure fitness for business purpose.Coordinate business requirements for the data and provide consultation to internal stakeholders to support their data needs.Understand source and target data structures, using standard data tools to review required data and fully profile the data to analyze its ability to meet the business needs.Complete impact assessments and ad hoc analyses to ensure that production issues and other reported deficiencies are adequately understood and resolved by updating requirements.Translate requirements into technical requirement specifications, appropriately documenting the solution via Report Specifications, Data Flow Diagrams, and Source to Target (STT) documents.Map source system data to data warehouse models.Work closely with the data team to define appropriate logical and physical models to accurately reflect business processes and meet business needs.Validate final products meet business requirements and service level agreements.Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of education requirement; advanced certifications preferred3+ years of relevant testing experience within a Data Warehouse environmentStrong communication skills with a passion for bridging the gap between business and technical usersKnowledge of QA methodology and software development life cycleExperience with source to target documentationExcellent documentation and written communication skillsDomain knowledge (healthcare, EHS, managed care, Medicare, etc.) is preferredIntermediate knowledge of SQL, analytical software, query tools - ability to build and run SQL queriesIntermediate knowledge of data warehousing principles including provenance, lineage, etc., and applies best practicesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently, under pressure, and be adaptable to changeMust be inquisitive and seek answers to complex questions without being promptedCreate strong relationships and provide positive experiences for internal partnersThis position can work 100% remotely or from our office in Madison, WI, in a hybrid or full-time on-site arrangement, if preferred.
