The Project Engineer’s role is an integral part of the Project Execution and Continuous Improvement process while working cross functionally among departments and sites. This unique role crosses over technology verticals such as molding, automation and product development.As a member of the Engineering and Industrialization team, the Project Engineer’s primary responsibility is to lead, drive, and manage all applicable engineering and technical aspects associated with Capital Projects, Continuous Improvement Projects, material changes for sustainability, and dual sourcing of equipment/materials to improve our speed to market. This process requires the position to apply all internal standards, procedures and activity necessary for effective and efficient execution.This is how your journey begins:Lead and participate in executing engineering change orders to project scope in equipment and materials (i.e. alternate production materials and recycled materials).Drive sampling, validation and production release of engineering change orders.Support rapid prototyping and pilot mold process and functional development.Assist in development of quotations for new market opportunities and work with suppliers of injection molds, automation, and support equipment as needed.Seek and develop new technology advancements that will help gain a competitive edge.Initiate and improve project engineering process across multiple technical disciplines, while adhering to ISO standards and procedurs.Provide technical support to Manufacturing and Quality as it relates to our Project Portfolio.Coordinate, manage and supervise the delivery and sampling of new cells (molds, EOT, robotics and assembly equipment).Support the Stage Gate process to ensure Stage Gate progression and proper documentation of deliverables and specifications.Participate and contribute to concept development, design iterations for molds and automation.What you will bring on the journeyEducation
BSME, BSIE or a Bachelor Degree in Polymers, Plastics, Rigid Packaging or similar area of expertise.
Experience
3 -5 years of manufacturing industry experience.Fundamental understanding of statistics & applicationExperience in Data Analytics and tools to present data results and trends.
Travel: Domestic up to 30% and sometimes at short notice.
