This position serves as in-house counsel to Aptar and manages all legal matters and associated projects.This is how your journey begins:Consult and handle all corporate legal processes including, but not limited to, commercial transactions, managing mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, and all related legal documents, agreements, lawsuits, and patents.Prepare, review, and draft contracts and agreements, including master service agreements, vendor agreements, statements of work, and various other standard business agreements.Research and anticipate against legal risks.Guide executive and management level co-workers in compliance matters.Represent the company in contractual negotiations with customers, vendors, and suppliers.Manage all phases of contract processing from inception to execution and maintenance in legal repository.Improve efficiency and effectiveness of contract support while maintaining quality and consistency of contracts across the company following best practices, processes, and procedures.Coordinate with all departments and act as an advisor on legal matters.What you will bring on the journeyMinimum Qualifications:Juris Doctorate degree from accredited law schoolAdmitted into the Illinois Bar and a member in good standing.3+ years of proven experience managing and negotiating contracts for an organization3+ years of working with financial/securities offeringsKnowledge of commercial transactions and risk allocation.Strong communication skills and legal writing skills.Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and have strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Capability to initiate and implement processes.Strong work ethic and demonstrated good judgement and discretion.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and seek guidance when necessary.Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and AdobeTravel Requirement:Approximately 10%Preferred Qualifications:Medical Device or Life Science knowledgeCyber security knowledgeMerger & Acquisition knowledgeLitigation supportWhat we offer:An exciting, diverse and value-based working environmentAward-winning corporate university offering personal development and training opportunities.Competitive base salary and performance-based bonus plan.Contribute to the communities where we reside.Innovative benefits plan which includes: 401k & Retirement Savings plan, vacation, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, pet insurance, wellness plan, and generous paid maternity/paternity leave.Be You.
