Director of Athletics, Aquatics, Golf, and Ice Arenas

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Director for the Athletics, Aquatics, Golf, and Ice Arenas Department. Responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating the daily operations and service delivery for Athletics, Aquatics, Golf, and Ice Arenas. This role involves planning, managing, directing, and implementing goals and objectives pertaining to the MPRB Athletics, Aquatics, Golf, and Ice Arenas facilities, services, programs, events, and activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Park and Recreation Administration, Recreation Administration, Sports Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field. Master’s degree preferred.6 years’ experience in recreation program and service delivery.6 years’ experience managing ice arena, golf, aquatic, and/or athletic facilities.6 years’ experience in leadership, management, and administration.6 years’ experience supervising others.3 years’ experience supervising unionized employees.

Licensing Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. CPRP designation preferred.
