We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cisco Networking Device Administrator to join our team in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. As a Cisco Networking Device Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and security of our Cisco networking infrastructure, supporting various network topographies. Your role encompasses network management, patching, and expertise in security tools such as HBSS (Host-Based Security System), ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution), and eMASS (Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service). This position requires a deep understanding of Cisco networking equipment, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate with customers to resolve network-related outages effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Cisco Networking Device Administration: Administer and maintain Cisco networking infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other Cisco devices. Implement and optimize Cisco IOS configurations to ensure optimal network performance.

Network Management: Utilize Cisco network management tools to monitor, analyze, and maintain the health, performance, and security of the Cisco networking infrastructure. Implement changes and configurations to meet evolving network requirements.

Patching and Security Compliance: Develop and implement patch management processes for Cisco devices in compliance with DoD guidelines. Utilize HBSS, ACAS, and eMASS to monitor, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities in the Cisco networking infrastructure.

Network Topographies: Demonstrate expertise in various network topologies, including LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations. Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network architectures to meet organizational requirements.

Troubleshooting and Remediation: Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues within the Cisco networking infrastructure, ensuring rapid remediation. Collaborate with customers to troubleshoot outages and provide timely and effective solutions.

Customer Interaction: Work closely with customers to understand their network-related issues and provide expert guidance on resolution. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.

Job RequirementsQualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience, preferred 4+ years of networking experience.

DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Certifications for IAT Level III (CISSP, CASP+).

Relevant OEM certification such as: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

Proven experience in the administration of Cisco networking devices in a DoD environment.

In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), and switching technologies.

Experience with network topologies, including LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations.

Strong understanding of patch management processes and vulnerability remediation in accordance with DoD guidelines.

Familiarity with security tools such as HBSS, ACAS, and eMASS.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve network-related issues efficiently.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction and team collaboration.

An active DoD Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one.
