Join us in our fast-paced support to develop, advance, and sustain weapon systems for the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and its mission partners. You will be joining a team of personnel with experience and an in-depth understanding of the environments that include ground, near-space, space, and any system that operates in those environments to meet current and projected strategic, operational, and tactical needs for the Department of Defense (DoD). QinetiQ is a mission-led innovation company that works with the USSF and DoD to design, develop, field, and maintain requirements essential to national security and the survivability of the warfighter.We are seeking a Senior Computer/Network Systems Engineer. The Senior Computer/Network Systems Engineer is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in computer networks, network protocols, and network architecture as well as integrating/engineering cybersecurity into mission systems. The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise with modern Command, Control, Computing, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting (C5ISRT) systems in the DoD as well as developing cyber tools for cyber operators. This position requires an individual who can work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and partners to ensure program success.Responsibilities
Provide computer and network systems engineering and technical advice for projects and programs as well as support program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities.Support the revision or drafting of JCIDS and acquisition documentation such as Initial Capability Documents, Analysis of Alternatives, Concept of Operations, Technical/Systems Requirement Documents, Technical Evaluations, and System Specifications.Provide inputs and support on technical and/or programmatic status reporting of individual projects, programs, or portfolios.Identify areas of improvement with actionable, feasible recommendations, and tasks for reducing risk where appropriate as well as support risk identification, process definition, and detailed technical risk mitigation plans.Maintain awareness of current program schedule, monitor acquisition implementation, report requirement shortfalls, and provide program assessments based on the identified risks.Advise the Government program manager on technical engagements such as technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program conferences, and other informational meetings.Maintain a broad awareness and understanding of all programs and technology development efforts in execution across the applicable portfolio as well as assist integrated product teams and working groups.Provide technical and operational insight to support mission protection, operations, and mission data assessments as well as recommend viable solutions for technical anomalies.Provide recommendations regarding cyber activities, including techniques, packets, and mission partner responsibilities.Maintain awareness of Authority to Operate, Authority to Test, Authority to Connect, and Interim Authorities as well as support cyber testing and assessment activities.Required Qualifications
Subject matter level expertise in computer networks, network protocols, and network architecture.Extensive experience integrating and engineering cybersecurity into mission systems.Experience developing cyber tools for use by cyber operators.Experience rapidly maturing and applying technology in operationally-relevant environments.Experience working with mission partners to develop solutions.Experience working in intelligence and the intelligence community.Experience with modern C5ISRT systems in the DoD.Experience with DoD and US military policies.Experience working within a classified environment to meet warfighter needs.Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Ability to identify and solve problems.Masters Degree.20+ years of relevant experience.TS/SCI Eligibility.Preferred Qualifications
