Job Duration: 13-week Contract
Shift: Night Shift, 36 hours per week, every third weekend on a three-week rotating schedule
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience:
License: Registered Nurse License (State-specific or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact)
Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent, required within 90 days of hire.

Job Description:
- Deliver nursing care to an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment.- Demonstrate competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population.- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and/or situation.- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.- Develop a plan prescribing strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.- Implement the identified plan and evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes.- Attain knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice.- Participate in ongoing educational activities related to appropriate knowledge bases and professional issues.- Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning through self-reflection and inquiry.- Identify learning needs based on nursing knowledge and changing needs of the population.- Participate in formal or informal consultations to address nursing practice issues.- Share educational findings, experiences, and ideas with peers.- Contribute to a work environment conducive to the education of healthcare professionals.
Skills and Duties Continued:- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.- Assess personal communication skills in encounters with patients, families, and colleagues.- Seek continuous improvement in communication and conflict resolution skills.- Convey information in formats promoting accuracy.- Question the rationale supporting care processes and decisions when they do not appear to be in the patient's best interest.- Disclose observations or concerns related to hazards and errors in care or practice environment to the appropriate level.- Maintain communication with other providers to minimize risks associated with transfers and transitions in care delivery.- Contribute a professional perspective in discussions with the interprofessional team.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
