Job Description:

- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a specified group of patients in an inpatient environment.- Demonstrates competency in delivery of care to primarily an adult population.- Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and/or the situation.- Analyzes assessment data to determine the diagnoses or issues.- Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation.- Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.- Implements the identified plan and evaluates progress toward the attainment of outcomes.- Pursues knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice.- Participates in ongoing educational activities and demonstrates commitment to lifelong learning.- Assesses and seeks continuous improvement in communication and conflict resolution skills.- Engages with patients, families, and the interprofessional team effectively in various communication formats.- Discloses observations or concerns related to hazards and errors in care to the appropriate level.- Maintains communication with other providers to minimize risks associated with transfers and care transitions.- Contributes professional perspective in discussions with the interprofessional team.
