Position Overview:
Henry Ford Health Jackson is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Family Medicine team. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population in both outpatient and inpatient settings. As part of our dynamic healthcare team, the NP or PA will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a variety of clinical scenarios.
New graduates will not be reviewed. At least 18 months of APP experience.
Schedule - 36-Hours, full time
Call requirement - Yes, 1 Week per year.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Takes patient history, performs physical examination, orders, and interprets tests, makes diagnoses, and institutes appropriate treatment programs. Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses, and other medical care team members to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Certified Nurse Practitioner. Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS as required. Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.
Qualifications:
* NP - Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)* PA - Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)* NP - Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan* PA - Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Licensure and Certification
* Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (must have proof of application)* National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.* DEA/CSL, required through credentialing.
Experience
* EPIC Experience, preferred.
At least 18 months APP experience.

* Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.* Commitment to patient-centered are and continuous professional development.
