The NP - Nurse Practitioner, Physician Practice shall perform tasks and procedures delegated by the collaborating Physician within their scope of practice. This NP shall perform complete, detailed and accurate histories; as well as to review patient records to develop comprehensive medical status reports. Additionally, the NP will complete physical examinations; make diagnoses and institute therapy, including drug therapy. This individual will institute emergency measures and emergency treatment; arrange hospital admissions and discharges at the direction of the collaborating Physician. The NP will also perform hospital rounds; provide instructions and guidance regarding medical care matters to patients. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
* Master of Science in Nursing degree required.* Minimum 2 years of related nursing experience required.* License / Certification required: Active Nurse Practitioner license required, active Nurse Practitioner license through American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) required* BLS certification required.* Knowledge of basic Windows based PC operations.* Excellent organizational skills.* Good oral and written communication skills.* Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.* Ability to work from broad directions and be self motivated.* Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.* Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.* Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.
