This temporary position offers flexible shift options and an opportunity to work with a reputable hospital team in a high-acuity setting.Position HighlightsLocation : Near Hull, TexasSchedule : Flexible 12- or 24-hour shifts availableDuration : Approximately 8 months, starting April 14, 2024Patient Volume : High volume, specifically during "Pink" shifts, ensuring a fast-paced, challenging environmentKey ResponsibilitiesEmergency Consultations : Provide OB consults for hospital obstetric patients in the Emergency Department and various hospital-owned clinics.Patient Transport : Coordinate transport for critically ill obstetric patients as needed.OB/GYN Coverage : Offer surgical assist services and cover the OB triage unit, managing emergent labor or symptoms.Unassigned Patient Care : Evaluate and manage unassigned obstetric and gynecology patients, including admissions, deliveries, and discharges.Emergent Response : Actively respond to and manage OB/GYN emergencies, ensuring patient safety until primary physicians arrive.High-Risk Case Management : Assume care for high-risk maternal-fetal medicine patients, including TOLAC management and complicated deliveries.Collaborative Consults : Work closely with nursing and community obstetricians to manage patients, improve workflows, and optimize care outcomes.QualificationsExperience : Minimum of 5 years in Obstetrics/GynecologyCertification : Maternal Level II experience required; familiarity with NICU Levels II-IV is advantageous.Documentation : Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and quality compliance.Additional Skills : Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, proficiency in fetal heart monitoring (NCC certification preferred), and capability to perform H&P exams on unassigned patients.Additional DutiesHospital Compliance : Participate in quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality reviews, and accreditation standard compliance.Patient Satisfaction : Engage with patients and families to ensure a high standard of customer service and contribute to hospital patient experience improvements.Continuing Education : Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local regulations, as well as hospital policies and protocols.Benefits of This Locum Tenens PositionCompetitive Pay : Premium hourly rates, with added compensation for high-demand shiftsFlexible Scheduling : Tailor your shifts to suit your availability, with both 12-hour and 24-hour optionsSupportive Environment : Join a collaborative hospital team that values patient-centered care and quality improvement
