Job DescriptionJob Title: RN Clinical Nurse - Endo Medical Specialist
Job Specialty: Registered Nurse / Licensed - Outpatient
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day (Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-4:30 pm)
Guaranteed Hours:
Experience: Experience with direct patient care preferred; additional specialty experience may be required.
License: Current/active license as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia
Certifications:- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required- ACLS/PALS may be required in some practice areas- National certification in the area of specialty preferred
Must-Have:- Ability to read, write, and speak English- Basic computer skills and ability to use technology to support clinical care- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies calmly and respectfully- Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
Job Description:
- Perform the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice- Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care, considering population-specific characteristics- Partner with patients and significant others for effective communication and care planning- Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care using diverse communication methods- Demonstrate teamwork by collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary team members- Support performance improvement initiatives, nursing research, and evidence-based practice- Serve as a preceptor and mentor for other nurses and staff- Promote efficient and effective use of resources and contribute to protocol development- Administer injections/vaccines, draw blood, perform point-of-care testing (POCT), process medication authorizations, conduct phone triage, and handle clinical message-taking- Chart patient information in electronic medical records (EMR), with Epic experience preferred- Adhere to all policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
Additional Notes:- Scrub colors: Navy or White- Involves completing in-basket results/messages, addressing patient advice, and maintaining clinical competencies in medical terminology.
