Shift: Night - 3x12 - 7 PM - 7 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week

Experience: Minimum of three years (3) acute care experience required.

License: Registered Nurse License

Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS

Must-Have:- Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing- Associate Degree or BSN accepted- Proficient communication skills (written, verbal, electronic)- Willingness to float to sister facilities and other departments as needed

Job Description:- Deliver safe, effective, quality nursing care according to the philosophy and goals of the Department of Nursing.- Utilize Jean Watson's Theory of Caring and the professional nursing practice model to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.- Determine patient progress toward goals and maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.- Provide care based on the specific physiological, developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patient.- Demonstrate current working knowledge and safe use of equipment, instrumentation, and medications.- Formulate care plans ensuring safety, comfort, hygiene, and disease prevention for the patient.- Perform essential nursing skills, educate patients and families on health care needs, and evaluate care plan effectiveness.- Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise nursing care provided by the care team.- Act as a patient advocate, initiating action to improve health care as needed.- Coordinate patient care activities with nurses, physicians, allied health professionals, and ancillary care team members.- Ensure culturally competent, age-appropriate, ethical care within legal standards.- Meet or exceed unit and organizational patient satisfaction goals through interactions with patients and families.- Assist in resolving complaints promptly and investigate complaints to provide information to management.- Perform other duties as assigned.
