Certified NPP Nurse Midwife

Amoskeag Health, Manchester, New Hampshire, us, 03101

Amoskeag Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to providing patient-centered and evidence-based care to a diverse population in Manchester, New Hampshire. We have an effective and unique model where midwives and family medicine docs work together to provide antepartum and intrapartum care. We do not have a separate women's health department, as our midwives are part of our primary care model and work closely with family medicine providers to provide prenatal care and some gynecologic/ family planning services.

We are looking for a part-time midwife to work three, 10-hour weekday shifts (7:30am-5:30pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) for a total of 30 paid hours per week. Due to our relatively low volume of inpatient prenatal patients, midwives have an outpatient schedule at our clinic on the hospital campus while being on-call for inpatient care (OB triage, vaginal births, postpartum care) during their shift. There are no nights, holidays, or weekends for this position. The midwife will see a majority of the OB patients, with some family planning (including IUD and Nexplanon inserts and removals) and other gynecologic care. This position requires 2 or more years of post-graduate experience.

The Certified NPP Nurse Midwife provides comprehensive, family oriented, reproductive health care to women throughout the life cycle. The Nurse Midwife shall perform health examinations, treat medical conditions, provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, as well as provide family planning and well-patient gynecology services. They will coordinate and assist in the evolution of the prenatal program at Amoskeag Health.

* Education/Training: RN licensed in NH with Master's level preparation and certification as Nurse Midwife.* Experience: Three to five years experience as a CNM having done at least 100 deliveries.* Knowledge/Skills: Ability to function well with physicians and other midlevels via a team approach; organized, leadership abilities; and computer skills a plus.* BLS Certification required.
