We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (ARNP/FNP) for a locum tenens opportunity near Tacoma, WA. This is a fantastic chance to work in a vibrant, community-centered outpatient setting. The position is within a Community Health Center that provides essential care to underserved populations, including migrants and refugees.
Key Details:Position Type : Locum TenensLocation : Near Tacoma, WAStart Date : 11/04/2024Contract Length : 13 weeks, with the potential for extensionSchedule : Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMShift : Day shifts (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week), no call requiredPatient Load : Up to 18 patients per day, ranging from newborns to geriatrics
Duties & Responsibilities:Provide primary care services in an outpatient ambulatory settingPerform basic procedures such as injections, IUD placements, and minor wound careWork with a diverse patient population, including refugees and migrants, with interpretive services availableMust be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and with vulnerable populationsCollaborate with a dedicated medical team, including medical assistants, mental health therapists, and dietitians
Requirements:Board Certification
in Family Practice (BC)Washington State License
required (active WA license)Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and DEA requiredMinimum Experience : 2+ years of experience; familiarity with EPIC EMRVaccination : COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are mandatory
Additional Information:No housing provided for providers working 3-4 days per weekOvertime is only approved if productivity expectations are exceededCredentialing timeframe: 2-3 weeksMust have a clean background with no malpractice history
