Job Description:Ability to work effectively in a team environment providing responsive instructional and behavioral supportKnowledge of positive behavior and intervention strategies to motivate studentsAbility to effectively communicate with teachers, parents, and administrationAssist student(s) with classroom activities under the direction of certified teacherAssists with instructional modifications recommended by planning teamChecks notebooks, corrects papers, and supervises testing and make-up work relevant to assigned student(s)Assist with reading and math interventionsParticipates in appropriate staff development programsAssists teacher in duties related to the supervision of lunchroom, playground, and bus activitiesAssists with the behavioral management system under the direction of the teacherAssists with daily charting of academic and behavioral progressAssist students with dressing, undressing, feeding, toileting, and health needs) as necessaryPerforms any other duties as assigned by supervisor/designeeOther duties as assigned
Qualifications:Paraprofessional certification registered with ISBE required. License must be registered with Cook County.
Salary/Benefits:Salary/Benefits:$21.25/hourly, 205 work days, 10 Paid Holidays, 12 PTO/Sick Days
