Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner ENT Opportunity!
We have an opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our ENT team at Asante. The job functions include surgical assists in the OR, rounding on patients in the hospital, and performing evaluations and follow-up care in our clinic. Coordinates with team regarding patient assessments, performing and dictating H&P, and writing orders. This person collaborates with case managers and nurses on a plan of care for patients. Initiates and follows up on diagnostic evaluations/testing and communicates results with our surgeons.
Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass offers a wide range of high-quality medical care to residents of Southern Oregon. The 125-bed hospital is a level III trauma center and combines the small hospital feel with the high-tech capabilities of a modern facility.
Education: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program..
Experience: Experience in ENT, general surgery, critical care, primary care or emergency medicine is strongly preferred. Must be comfortable working in both the OR and outpatient setting.
Licensure/Certifications: One of the following required upon start:
o Nurse Practitioner licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) along with a DEA certificate
o Physician Assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants along with a DEA certificate
Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
