* BSA provides 24-hour paramedic care through our ambulance service, which responds to emergencies in Canyon and 825 square miles of Randall County. BSA EMS staffs two stations 24/7/365, one in northern Randall County and one in Canyon.* We believe healthcare is a team sport and every player has something to contribute. Responsibilities
* Primarily responsible for providing emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with established BSA Health System Policies, Department Guidelines and Patient Care Protocols.* Safely operates emergency vehicles in compliance with all laws, BSA Policies and Department Guidelines.* Accepts other tasks assigned by the Shift Commander, EMS Division Supervisor or Paramedicine Services Director.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
* A high school diploma or equivalent* Certification or licensure as an EMT-Paramedic by the Texas Department of State Health Services* American Heart Association Healthcare Provider completion
* Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver License with restriction "A" permissible
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) completion within 80 days of employment
* Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) completion within 80 days of employment
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) completion within 80 days of employment
* Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.A is required within 80 days of employment
Preferred Job Requirements:
* Field experience* National Registry
* Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) completion
* Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) completion
* Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program (CCEMTP) completion.
