Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Surgical ICU

Work Schedule:
100% FTE, three 12 hour shifts Tuesday - Thursday from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, and one 8 hour shift every other Saturday from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:
* Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit.* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide consistent high-quality care to our patients.* Participate in daily rounding and collaborate with attending physician and residents in order to adjust plans of care.* Perform procedures such as: suture removal and drain removal.

Education:
Minimum -
If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.
If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum -
If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP in Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care. (Adult or Adult/Gerontology Primary Care will be considered only if previous ICU experience)
If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND active PA board certification.
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire AND CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area: ACLS. (ATLS preferred)
