UT Regional One Physicians is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician#s Assistant for our Women#s Services#Healthy Start Program. A Brief Overview Acts as the primary health care provider performing health care assessments, diagnosis, treatment, preventive health care, instructions and follow-up care to patients in the management of patient and family care following established protocols.# What you will do Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions related to women#s health. Provide pelvic exams, prenatal education and referrals to external providers, as appropriate. Provide primary care services, including routine physical exams, management of chronic diseases, and health screenings. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies. Develop and implement individualized care plans. Use clinical knowledge to identify acute and/or chronic health problems through comprehensive, age-appropriate assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, screenings, diagnostic tests, diagnoses, and prescribing appropriate medications and treatments. Collaborate with physicians, patients, nurses, ancillary care providers, and others to develop and implement patient-centered care plans. Educate patients on sexual health, contraceptive options, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices. Provide education to community about women#s health programs and build strong community relationships in order to increase patient volume at health centers. Develop, implement and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilize methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. Provide direct outreach and education, through community events. Offer support and resources for mental health issues, general health topics, chronic disease management, and preventive care. Assess the learning needs of patients and families and develop and/or implement teaching programs. Coordinate referrals and arrange for medical follow-up as appropriate. Develop and participate in health promotion activities and educational programs focused on women#s health and general health. Conduct workshops, seminars, and health screenings to raise awareness about women#s health issues and general health. Advocate for health services and resources within the community. Participates in opportunities that promote learning, growth, and development (i.e., classes, training, committees, research, and webinars). Provide advanced care, consultation, research, management and education for women#s health issues Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required and Additional training may be required for specialty areas.
