Performs physical examinations, interacts and counsels patient for symptom management, advanced care planning purposes and the determination of patient goals. Institutes therapy, including drug therapy , accepts and performs hospital consults and rounds; provide instructions and guidance regarding medical care and management of stable and chronic illnesses under the supervision of an appropriately credentialed attending physician. Bachelors degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Program required.Valid AL PA license.Palliative Care experience preferred, BLS required.Knowledge of basic Windows based PC operations.Strong customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills.Strong analytical skills.Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.Ability to work from broad directions and be self motivated.Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.Willing to participate in palliative care education programs and practice state of the art care for all patients.Licensed by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners, Basic Cardiac Life Support (Basic Life Support (BLS)) Certification
