We are currently seeking
F/T
Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners
with prior General Surgery experience to join our team. Our ideal candidates will be flexible, willing, and able to work a combination of days, nights, and weekends.
DUTIES:
As a Physician Assistant in our Surgery Department, you will have the opportunity to manage all aspects of care, including medicine, pre-op, post-op, and discharge responsibilities. Additional responsibilities will include:Taking initial patient histories and performing physical examinations.Evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and managing treatment plansOrdering and interpreting lab testsCounseling patientsPerforming various medical procedures and assisting in surgical operationsConferring with attending physicians, residents, and other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree required.Graduate of an accredited (Accreditation Review Committee for Physician Assistant Programs (ARC-PA) program, required.A licensed Physician Assistant by the New York State Department of Education is required.Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), is required.Current BLS and ACLS certifications, requiredMUST HAVE FLEXIBLE schedule to cover days, nights, and weekends - on a rotating basis.
SALARY: $61.0051/hr. - $71.3007 DOE Plus Applicable Differentials.
