Position/Title:
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Interventionist
Location:
Middletown High School
Position Broad Function:
Supports the SEL through direct and indirect Tier I, II and III intervention
Supervised By:
School Social Worker/Psychologist and School Principal
Qualification Profile:
A Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, human services or other related field as well as experience working with children in an educational setting is strongly preferred. An Associate's degree in a related field with equivalent experience will be considered; ability to relate to students, staff, and families in a positive and effective manner; experience facilitating small groups with children is preferred; experience working in a diverse and multicultural community; ability to work independently and take initiative with tasks; ability to be flexible in an active school environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
$25.30 Per Hour. 35 Hours Per Week. Health benefits offered (Medical Only-Mirrors District Paraprofessional Health Coverage)
Interventionists are provided with 5 sick days and 1 personal day to use by the end of the year. Interventionists are not entitled to paid holidays. Sick and personal days must be used during the assigned work year or forfeited on June 30th of the school year. Interventionusts are not allowed to be reimbursed for unused sick or personal days if and when employment has ended.
