Job Summary
Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Job Duties
Plans, implements, evaluates, and delivers patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Maintains clinical skills and competency through orientation, annual and ongoing education, and clinical practice.
Follows Tribal Health and client specific policy and procedures.
All other duties as assigned and specified by clinical assignment and site.
Requirements:Specialty
Emergency Medicine
Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program.Any state license accepted
YesFL & PR -- must have proof of NCLEX completion.
Experience Required- 1 year ED settingActive and unencumbered state licensureBLS (AHA) - Tribal Health RequirementACLS-PALS-Client SpecificTNCC or ACTNNRP-can be completed within 60 days of starting onsiteENPC-can be completed within 60 days of starting onsiteCOVID vaccine Required
Facility Description:
Dilkon Medical Center, Dilkon, AZWeekly schedule -
Rotating 36/48 hoursFlexibility for block scheduling etc.
Patient volume per day -
Anticipating 60-80 patients per 24 hours. TBDAll ages
ED Description
Level 3 Emergency Department (ED) at the newly constructed Dilkon Medical Center (DMC), located on the Navajo Nation in Dilkon, Navajo County, Arizona. Will deliver a broad range of ambulatory and inpatient medical services; including but not limited to: Primary Care; Optometry; Dental; Podiatry; Diagnostic Imaging and CT; Laboratory with blood banking; Pharmacy; Physical Therapy; Behavioral Health; and full ancillary support services and a full-service cafeteria.
