Position Description

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership to the OB Department. The OB Supervisor will collaborate with other hospital leadership and act as an internal consultant on regulatory matters. Accountable for overseeing the clinic's quality improvement and regulatory compliance program as well as facilitating change and managing compliance and procedural related projects.

Major Duties

The Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for creating patient satisfaction standards across the clinic. The RN Consultant Supervisor will also monitor the performance of the clinic through regular audits. Manages the healthcare delivery system and coordinates with the other functions within the institution. Participates in the facilities Quality Assurance program, including development of audit tools, data collection and develop corrective action plans on deficiencies.

Additional Responsibilities• Implementation of various policies and procedures• Construct and supervise an operational plan.• Responsible for developing and maintaining positive, professional, collaborative relationships with clients and ensuring customer satisfaction.• Continually demonstrate ability to lead and motivate staff to provide excellent, and safe patient care.• Works with Clinic, communicates, and problem solves to ensure compliance with all aspects of the client contract.• Promotes continuous learning, improvement and evidence-based practice.• Communication liaison between members of the team and Indian Health staff and leadership.• Functions as a resource and role model, including mentoring/coaching staff.• Promotes, supports a positive working relationship, and effective team building.• Attends weekday morning department head meeting.• Attends QUAPI meetings as scheduled.

§ Collect and report all QUAPI data required by TEM.• Attends meetings as requested or required by service unit administration and or TEM.• Participates in daily audits to identify areas of improvement.

§ Meets with nursing staff to discuss and remedy deficiencies.

Works shifts as required.Qualifications• Three or more years' experience in a professional services setting or healthcare setting with focus on documentation improvement and relative issues is strongly preferred• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects• Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and be resourceful• Demonstrated ability for developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders and/or clients• Experience/knowledge of regulatory compliance issues facing the healthcare industry is a plus.

Specialty: RN SupervisorLicense Accepted: Valid current unrestricted nursing license from the State of Arizona or another compact licensing state.Certifications required: Valid American Heart Association certification in ACLS and BLS. Certifications in PALS and NRP are required within 90 days of hire.Experience requirements: Ideally 2 Years of Experience in SpecialtyCOVID vaccine required: YesWeekly schedule: 8a-5p - Monday through Friday. 40 hours weeklyClearance timeframe: 2-3 week timeline for credentialing/clearanceSupport staff: Manages a team of OB RNs. The facility includes a medical telemetry Unit, Outpatient, and Emergency Room/Urgent Care.
