Job Summary:
Seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) for the Hoffman Estates, IL area who will work under the supervision of a physician to provide a wide range of healthcare services. The PA will perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide patient education and counseling.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, blood tests, and EKGs. Develop and manage patient treatment plans. Prescribe medications and therapies as needed. Educate patients on preventive healthcare practices and healthy lifestyle choices. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications: Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. State of Illinois licensure as a Physician Assistant. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Internal medicine experience a plus Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical practices and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Work Environment: Work setting is a physician office Part-time, initially, evolving into full-time as patient base increases May involve standing for long periods and handling stressful situations.
