Surgical Nursing Assistant
Surgical Services I Lexington
Full-Time, First Shift
Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.
Description:
* At the direction of management and/or nursing personnel, assists the hospital staff/department in the provision of high quality, safe patient care* Provides basic physical care of the patient.* Demonstrates safe patient transport with stretcher, wheelchairs, and patient beds.* Performs tasks and procedures as directed according to hospital policy and procedure.* Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes principles of aseptic technique.* Ensures positive customer relations interactions.* Actively participates in unit activities.* Provide assistance in Surgical Procedures and certain basic circulating functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse in the Operating Room.* On Call required-weeknights, weekends, and holiday picked by rotation.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma and/or Equivalent.* BCLS by the end of orientation period.
